Andrew Finn ABCD Public Speaking

Andrew Finn is a professional speaker, trainer, and university professor. Andy began teaching university communication courses while he was still at Bell Laboratories in the 1980s. In 1994 he left the tech sector for full-time university teaching.


Since then, he has helped literally 1000s of people – college students, professionals, and executives – to communicate more effectively. After teaching at Rutgers, NYU, and the University of Kentucky, he is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication at George Mason University. He was voted “Faculty Member of the Year” in 2010 and “Professor of the Year” in 2011 by the students in the Department of Communication.

Andy is an award-winning speaker, a member of the National Speakers Association, the founder of the GMU Toastmasters Club, and a Distinguished Toastmaster. He has hosted or co-hosted a talk radio show for most of the past 7 years. Andy’s Ph.D. is in Social Psychology.
